Well, I mentioned previously that I'd found my old File Folder of Shadows (or if I didn't, then I meant to), and now that I have Word on my new computer, I can open the files and actually look at them!
I've got a free trial of Acrobat going on right now (I'm PDFing a very old website that has always been a favourite of mine, and I'm afraid may be taken down soon), and I happen to come across my copy of Jet's Witchcraft lessons. I thought to myself, 'Self, since you're starting again after so long in hibernation, it's probably a good idea to use a guide you know is solid'.
So, I started compiling them too (since they are almost entirely still in website format). I'm going to try and get it all done in a decent time frame so that I can archive the website files, but I'll be going through them at a nice slow pace right from learning to meditate.
So far, I've gotten as far as 'Listening to the Body'. I can hear my heart beat while meditating, but now that the little one is around, and my SO is working 12 hour shifts, I am finally really understanding the part about how it can be tough to find 20 minutes to yourself. So, what I've decided to do is to try meditating while breastfeeding. The baby falls asleep pretty fast, and it's really the only time I get to myself during the day.
I'm also going to pick up a small journal to keep track of my progress in. I've been sending hints to DW about THIS one again (my birthday is coming up after all ...). That will be a big project one day.
Anyway, we'll see if my experiment works, and how long it takes me to get to the same level of competence with meditations that I used to have.
