So, I did go and get a blogger blog.  Several actually.  I've been flipflopping on the name.  Right now it's at  http://cultivateart.blogspot.ca/ - I'm liking it.  It's pretty.  I've been having trouble with focus lately.  It's summer, and this is the season that I am naturally all over the place - taking care of the house, cooking, playing with the baby, cleaning up after the baby, feeding baby, washing baby, etc with baby ;)

I am letting go of the idea of having a regular religious practise.  At least for now.  I've never been very good at it.  I'm good at holidays generally - when there is cooking and decorating and visitors etc.  Moving repeatedly and far away has kinda wrecked me for this year.  I'm sure by Mabon I will be back in the swing of things.  The cooking holidays were always my best :)

And now ... the point -> )

Busy Busy

Research is fun - well, kind of. I've started the research for my environmental piece. I've found an awesome blog that is run by a guy who lists the latest scare tactics and then shows what the science actually says (there was a piece from March about the claim that our oceans are turning to acid). *rolls eyes*

I've also decided that my Virtues of the Goddess series is not going on my blog afterall. I am going to submit them for publication in Witches&Pagans. I ws going to submit them to SageWoman, but W&P seems to be a larger/more professional operation - and they are the same company, so I don't feel bad choosing them over SageWoman.

In where I do the rambling ... )
I have about half a dozen articles/tutorials that I should be putting together for my blog(s).  I have a kitchen full of produce that needs to be prepped so that I don't have to do it before/while cooking.  My house needs to be dusted in a bad way.  There is also laundry, a project from my old school that I said I would do a month ago and various other things that are half finished ATM.  I've misplaced a lot of things that I need for my various sewing projects (straight pins, sleeve press, new needles), so I need to hit the fabric store soon too.

I just signed up for three different web forums (well, two, but it seems that my MW account has been deactivated, probably from disuse, so I count that one as well), all accounts are awaiting moderation approval - which is something I'm not used to.  Probably for the best.  Something tells me that I'm not going to get approved at one of them (I didn't realize that you needed to fill out the profile info completely to get approved).

I want it to be sunny so that I can go outside and enjoy my coffee on the deck.  Weather app says it's going to rain for the next 3 days.  I love rain, don't get me wrong, but I've gotten used to sunshine now.

I've also fallen down on my daily meditations.  I should get back to that.  There isn't a whole lot of peaceful time with a teething baby, tho - both bottom eye teeth coming in.  Her poor little mouth is so swollen :(

I think I will finish my coffee and play catch with my baby.  Maybe I'll be productive later.

Does that woman have no shame?  I know this is probably old news to most, but I only just found this book while writing up my reviews of her other crap books.  Ick.

Anyway, I don't care enough to rant any more than that.  Been out working in my garden today, and I'm making tarot/herb bags for my etsy store.  Going to be making up another batch of hand cream in the next week or so as well.  I just ran out :(

That's really about all.  I have been writing a little in my *new* blog.  I'll post a link there once I've finished up my first tutorial post so that I can get folks opinions on if it should be integrated with PP or if I should keep them separate.  So far, I like Blogger.  But Google has a tendency to change things and what they think is intuitive is actually infuriating.  We'll see how it goes.  If WP had more functionality and were more 3rd party app friendly, then this would even be an issue.  Meh.

The End.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Thursday I caught a purse-snatcher who stole [livejournal.com profile] magick_pearl's purse (30 points). In May I gave [livejournal.com profile] pregnant_niamh a Dutch Oven (-10 points). In November I gave [livejournal.com profile] lillyxandra a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). In September I gave [livejournal.com profile] popeseasons a wet willie, then I took it back (-5 points). In February I put money in [livejournal.com profile] lupabitch's expired parking meter (14 points).

Overall, I've been nice (79 points). For Christmas I deserve a Sony Playstation 3!

Sincerely,
phae_talon

Woot! Now, if Santa can help me decide between the ipod touch, the PSP and the iphone, I will be all set for gadgetry!

Well, I have been knitting like crazy for the last couple of weeks, and I have some stuffs to show off.  First is my new scarf for this year.  The only one that I actually LIKE once it was finished (I learned a lot about blocking and the bane of my life that is acrylic yarn).  And the second is a pair of very cool arm warmers.

I have a couple of people at work who want to learn to make them and a couple more who want to pay me to make them for them.  Yay!  I are a trend setter! LOL

I also made Knitty's Cleaves, but I don't have any pics of that just yet.  Yay!  Knitting!

I Don't Wanna

I have a huge list of stuff that needs doing, and I don't want to do any of it.  A few things that need brainstorming out, I have to clean the kitty box, I still have stuff to make before the store is ready, and all I  want to do is crawl back into bed and wait for the sunshine to bring spring warmth with it (durn cold sunshine!).

Bleh!  Maybe some coffee would help.
