Time for a little catch up.

1) I am grateful for wasabi.  My new addiction.  Who knew it would be so tastey on everything??

2)  I am grateful for late summer sunshine.  I love this time of year.  It reminds me of when WD and I were first together.  The return of that tiny night time chill makes me feel young again :)

3) I am grateful for my shift supervisors who understand that the bizarre knee-jerk reactions of the management are going to hurt production more than help it (and don't put that weight on our shoulders).

4) I am grateful that I get paid every Friday.  While it does tend to bring out the latent shopaholic in me, it also lets me keep an even amount of money and avoids the 'until payday' crunch.
This weekend has been busy ... and expensive.  We went to a wedding on Saturday, and while I am several hundred dollars poorer, WD has a GORGEOUS black microfibre jacket (pics to follow).  I also got my hair cut and a couple of pairs of new shoes (can't blame all the spending on WD ... though, I try!).  lol

My gratitude for Saturday is that I can spend that much money on getting ready to go to a friend's wedding, and not be having to tighten the belt for months afterwards.  I have to stretch a bit until Friday, but it really just means not going out for lunch everyday next week (which I shouldn't do anyway).  Yay for my vacation pay from the old job!

For Sunday, I am grateful for WD's new truck.  Being mobile again is magnificent!  I love being able to go to the mall and then out to the movies and it DOESN'T take several hours just in transit time.  I have missed a having a vehicle more than I thought I had (it's easy to forget when you spend so long not leaving the town you live in).

Today, I am grateful for not having to take the stupid pills anymore!  Yay!  I officially proclaim myself cured!  *doeshappydance*

I will post pictures (before and after for the hair) ... but I have to eat lunch and format them fist ;)

Today, I am grateful for online shopping!  When feeling better, but not quite up to being out and about, the internet is a great place to spend a little moola on stuff I don't really need (I bought elf ears!).

Yay!

It is coming into tanktop season again (for some reason, that is about all I wear in the late spring and summer), and I need new tank tops. I have a lot of pretty blouses, but when it is hot and sunny, tank tops go with skirts as well as they go with jeans, so that is what I wear (I am just going to stop buying pretty blouses one of these days and admit that comfy tank tops are where it's at).

Anyway, I decided that in keeping with my renewed light living scheme, I would make an attempt at finding organic cotton tank tops. Since I can't really trust myself to head downtown without buying things, I turned the the internet. One of the tricks for finding stuff that is fair trade as well as organic is to look for 'Made in Canada' on the label (or 'Made in the USA' for the folks south of the border). Dropping 'Made in Canada tank top' into google brought me this site: Rawganique.com

I am in love! Everything you could ever want in organic and hemp (including panties, which for some reason are ridiculously hard to find). And, I think Denmen Island is near here too, so yay! for cheap shipping (or a fun road trip if I want to head out to the store).

Window shopping is *so* much fun!

ps - Plus, my cargo pants that I had given up on having fit normalling again and was just about to toss into the Sally An bag, are now loose and comfy on me! YAY! Again Grin 4
I am an internet window shopper.  I can admit this.  Unfortunately, part of what makes me a window shopper is that half of the online pagan shops out of the states won't ship to Canada anymore.  This is the suck.  Big time.

But, recently, I have come across a service that will bypass all of my problems --->

The Letter Carrier

Yay!  There is apparently an office just on the other side of the border from me.  Though, now I will have to figure out if I need a passport and/or how to get one.  I wonder if an American birth certificate is good enough?  Stupid Patriot Act!  This is almost as stupid as the wall idea.

*toddles off to read boring gov't webpages*

But it was worth it! I went shopping today for new work shoes (and hoping to price out some boots too ... nice ones that are either leather or pleather). I found at the local Payless a gorgeous pair of knee high black boots for $5. I didn't believe it when I saw it, I had to ask the girl to check to make sure.

If that wasn't an excuse to buy an extra pair of shoes, I don't know what is! lol

Today I am grateful for second thoughts. I usually don't like second guessing myself, but today it paid off. This is prolly TMI for many folks ... )

I will end this with another hurray for successful diets. Hurray! *happysmallerpagandancing*
