It is coming into tanktop season again (for some reason, that is about all I wear in the late spring and summer), and I need new tank tops. I have a lot of pretty blouses, but when it is hot and sunny, tank tops go with skirts as well as they go with jeans, so that is what I wear (I am just going to stop buying pretty blouses one of these days and admit that comfy tank tops are where it's at).

Anyway, I decided that in keeping with my renewed light living scheme, I would make an attempt at finding organic cotton tank tops. Since I can't really trust myself to head downtown without buying things, I turned the the internet. One of the tricks for finding stuff that is fair trade as well as organic is to look for 'Made in Canada' on the label (or 'Made in the USA' for the folks south of the border). Dropping 'Made in Canada tank top' into google brought me this site: Rawganique.com

I am in love! Everything you could ever want in organic and hemp (including panties, which for some reason are ridiculously hard to find). And, I think Denmen Island is near here too, so yay! for cheap shipping (or a fun road trip if I want to head out to the store).

Window shopping is *so* much fun!

ps - Plus, my cargo pants that I had given up on having fit normalling again and was just about to toss into the Sally An bag, are now loose and comfy on me! YAY! Again Grin 4
Anyone heard of this?  Anyone interested in trying it with me?  I still have a lot of research to do to figure out just what food is local to me (I know that cranberries are ... so, yay!), but I wanted to give it a shot for ... oh, say, the summer.  I am thinking that beyond being a way to help the environment, it might also be a great way to reconnect with the seasons.
