Upon Further Investigation

It turns out that the particular post IG was referencing was Flocked.  Time for a friends purge, it would seem.  I will say it here and now and in the open so there is no mistake.  If you have only recently added me within the last 3 months, you can remind me how we know each other.  If I don't recognize you, you get cut.

I make no apologies.  If someone can't be trusted to keep even the most base of confidence, then they can go back to reading from the outside.

Lovely ethics there. Adults my ass. There are a couple of shit-stirrers there who back channel stir then post proudly their supposed conclusions which are inevitably ill-drawn and we cannot (the mods) combat them without breaking the privacy of our folders. So ... like I said ... lovely ethics there. Civil. Adult. Yup.

Oh I'm SO SAD I never go to forums. As soon as I saw her name there, I knew it would be a waste of my time.

It's sad and funny. My partner, T. is a person that online, people love or hate. (IRL, people often love AND hate him.) Still, he has a near 100% accuracy record when it comes to picking out who is a troll or a troublemaker. He often antagonizes them into showing their true colors pretty quickly. I'm not always fond of his methods, but I've learned to trust his judgment.

However, he did give me some pointers on managing IG: Her weaknesses are her (imagined)scholarship and her national pride. She claims to have doctorate degrees in Music, Art History, and Psychology (Although I believe she is under or around 30.) Trystn would argue basics in all these areas with her, showing up her ignorance in all three areas. (She claimed, for example, that hallucinations were not a symptom of schizophrenia. She did not know what a "tone row" or a "German 6th" were, and she argued vehemently against a quote on DaVinci, when DaVinci was the one who made the statement about himself!) Undermine her scholarship...that's the first way to make her shut up.

Second, undermine her national pride. T. did that by telling her that all the canucks he knew thought she was a "Wrong-way Quebecois" and that Canada would be better off without her. :)

That's good. It would never have occurred to me that she was faking the credentials. I don't know enough about psychology to call her out on it. I would pay to watch that though.

Also, she has already tried appealing to the fact that she lives only a few hours away from me. When I found that out, I felt a little sick.
