10 Days and Counting!

So, what is everyone's plans for Beltaine this year?  So far I have gotten as far as pink streaks for my hair, strawberry wine, and a picnic.  I am going to be working on Monday and Tuesday, so I think I am gonna have to have my celebrations on the Saturday before.  I haven't really decided further than that. 

i have been feeling like I should do a ritual for this one (as most of you know, I am more of a secular celebration type person than a full solitary ritual person).  I am not entirely sure what, though.  I do have a lot of things going that could use a shot of fertile/growth energy.  I obviously have more thinking and planning to do (some ribbon/cord magic might be in order).

dont know, I havent found a reason to celebrate the holidays yet. They do not resonate with me. Although for some reason I do a yule thing where I burn a log an send wishes of friends, family, and me to the energies of the universe.

Well, there are more celebrations out there than just the Wheel. Have you looked into any of the other Pagan calendars?

mmm not yet. Holidays in general do not really resonate just yet.

So far the only real thing I do is the yule thing. When I am done with the semester work I will do some more looking into things.

I dunno. Since exiting the public arena for Beltaine, I'm sort of lost for that holiday. Can't do it Alexandrian-style as a solitary, don't wanna do a public thing.

I think I'll just make dandelion wine again. And this time, I won't let a small bit of it sit for so long. OMFG -- it's like kerosene!

There are so many dandelions around right now. They make me think of you. And make me wish that I had my own yard so I could give making dandelion wine a try ;)

I'd really like to include my non-religious man into my celebrations this year, but I don't think that's going to happen this year. He's very happy to let me do whatever I need to do, but he doesn't ever show curiosity, just lots of permissiveness. I wonder if I really need to share this, or if I just feel that I want to.

New home in a few weeks, so there will be house blessing, who knows what else.

Yeah, that is why I do so much of the secular-style holiday stuff. I don't want WD to feel left out, and I am not terribly comfortable doing religious stuff infront of him.
