Spring Has Sprung, and I Have Proof!

Yay!  It's spring!  This year, March 6th was the first official day of spring.  The turning of the season, when winter was completely gone from the air (it was warm the day before, but the bite came back when it got dark).  I am going to see if I can mark turning of each season this year.  Summer is going to be a tough one to pinpoint, I think.

My official 1st day of spring was today- when I got my first tree allergy symptoms.

I know, terrible, but for me it means warmer days ahead and soon, I'll be back in the garden! wOOt! I got the alert from the allergy site today, too. I already knew before I fired up the monitor that it would be waiting for me in my email. :D

Spring is sprung! YAY!

*turns pea green at the sight of budding branches the first week of March.* It'll be a few more weeks before the greening begins here, but the rains have begun and the snow is fast disappearing from the landscape.

So glad I don't have springtime allergies. Mine are more fall and indoor ones. I don't know if I could cope if I were allergic to the spring.

Oh I love forsythia's - I would have a nice bush if my dogs didn't decide to snack on it! ooops ;-)

Awww I love when I see the first blooms. We still have snow on the ground and it is freezing out, we won't see blooms for a while! I am envious!

Expect lots more pics. There are still some of the trees that aren't blooming yet, but Vancouver's Cherry Blossom Festival is in a couple of weeks. I intend to be there and take pics ;)

It was 72* here in Central Kentucky today. Supposed to pour the rain starting later tonight and on through the weekend, though. Sucks.
