Coloured Peppercorns

This is a question to anyone who happens by and knows more about cooking than me (Mattie and Desree, I am looking at you!):

Do colored peppercorns actually taste different than black ones or is it purely an aesthetic thing?

Moving right along ... the essay. Well, I have done lots of these, but I have ideas for lots more. Maybe something that is a bit more controversial for this one ... some ideas I have so far:

Far Sight - some thoughts on the nature of prophecy and divination
Pagans and Hate - when counter culture becomes a smokescreen for prejudice

Any votes? These will all eventually get written, and I am sure I can think of some other issues that could use a good exploring (Wiccan Laity comes to mind), but this is a short list of ones I have been wanting to dive into.
