Someone out there likes me (or I have an apartment brownie who is trying to make a seriously good impression - though, he might think about doing a few dishes if he wants a happy landlord ~_^). Last night I was watching tv (we have been using my portable 13" since our last tv died ... we don't watch a lot of tv, so there hasn't been a big motivation to get a new one), and I notced that they had changed the tv listings channel to a different format. Now, it doesn't come in very well to begin with, and the new format made it impossible for me to read at all.

wintersdark that we really did need to get a new tv now. I can't read anything on it anymore, and I am not keen on having to wear glasses to watch tv. And I meant it. They aren't that expensive and I have a raise coming up, so we could easily afford one. So, guess what WD finds in the downstairs hall this morning when he came home from work? Yup, a 27" tv. It works great (I had to adjust the color, but it's otherwise fine). There is no remote, but our last tv was the same brand so I might actually have one kicking around here somewhere.
So there you go. Manifestation-o-rama! I may start taking requests. LOL
