Yuletide Squee!

Squee #1: I found it! I found a real live yule log! YAY! It was a branch from a recently cut down evergreen. It smells all piney and has a little sprig on it with needles. *does happy yuletide dance*

Squee #2: I am gonna have a live tree this year! YAY! There is a little shop near the Tim Hortons that is selling ten inch spruce trees for $3.50. I am gonna buy one, and we will have a real live tree this year for the first time since I was little. And I can hug it and talk to it, and it will grow into a *BIG* strong tree! Squee! *more happy dancing*

Ooh, live trees are the best! I have one, have had it for years. It's a dwarf, though, so I've gotten away with just getting it larger pots every year or two. Soon it probably needs to get good and planted, and start over with a new one.

The spruce will make it 4 trees that I have living in my one bedroom apartment. Oak, Holly and Maple are the others (thank goodness they are all still young and small). Somehow I just keep managing to collect them (I don't feel so bad about having herbs ... at least they aren't more trees! LOL).
