My computer is finally here!!! A brand spanking new laptop!! Yay! *does a happy dance*
I am still getting used to the keyboard, and the lack of a number pad (I use the * button more than I thought - the / button too). But all is yay!!
This weekend was a little bit crazy. We ended up having to move the furniture that WD bought at an charity auction from his company (they were getting rid of all their old office furniture before they moved to a new building). Mental note to self, WD is NOT allowed anywhere near an auction EVER again!!! He spent nearly $500 on a whole lot of stuff that we didn't really need - FOUR desks and SEVEN chairs. WHO needs that many of those?? We ended up giving one away and one we were going to give to a friend's sister, but we ran out of time and had to leave it in the hallway while we returned the truck (it was subsequently stolen, but we only paid $5 for it, so it wasn't that bad).
And if that wasn't bad enough, WD didn't take our old furniture out first. My apartment looks a little like a hurricane hit it. We are slowly getting things put back together. And the fact that my laptop came today doesn't hurt either ;)
I think I am going to have to get a real mouse for it though. I keep trying to right click with this little touchpad by bonking it with my middle finger instead of my index finger. *shakes head*
Well, I guess on most coasts it is the fourth now, so allow me to wish all of my American friends a happy Independence Day. I spent yet another Canada day moving things. I really need to start trying to avoid that more.
Now that I have my laptop going on, I am out of excuses to not type up my story. So I thought I would try and work on that some before I head to bed - even though I am pretty damned tired and still very sore. Moving stuff sucks. :P
