Someone sent this to me on Facebook, and normally, I am fairly skeptical about Facebook causes, but this one has me mildly concerned. Especially because I hadn't heard about it until now.
The hubbub is over Bill C-51, which is basically an attempt to put tighter regulations on herbal products and vitamin suppliments.
The majority of the above website is a little conspiracy theorist for me, but the base idea of trying to allow pharmacies to control herbal products isn't really anything new. Everyone is looking for a way to regulate the sale of herbal products. Thus, I turned to trusty Google to get the real scoop.
It isn't as bad as the conspiracy nuts are making it out to be, but I am thinking that it isn't good either. Especially since no one had heard about it until after it was through it's second reading.
There is apparently a rally against it this morning in Robson Square. Since I just woke up, I won't be attending, but this is definitely something to keep an eye on.
