... but shouldn't you already know how to stop a spell before you start casting them for all and sundry?? Isn't that a little like asking where the brake pedal is after you're already barrelling towards a stop sign at 50 klicks? Just because you didn't know ahead of time that it would be there doesn't mean that you never need to know where the damn breaks are!

Date: 2012-05-18 03:02 am (UTC)I agree, though about reversing spellwork. If you aren't willing to go the distance with it, don't do it in the first place. And anyone who is coming to you as a client should be well aware of that as well.
But then, I guess that sort of attitude comes from *understanding* the point of the warnings like the Rede rather than just assuming it was meant to be taken literally :P
I think I may need to take a step away from the internet for a while soon. Is it just me or does it seem like everyone now is all about casting random nonsense out into the Universe without the first idea of what they're doing? Was it always like that and I just didn't notice before?

Date: 2012-05-18 03:28 am (UTC)As for the Rede ... I'm not Wiccan, it doesn't apply to me. :p
It is just you noticing. Humans have been throwing nonsense at the Universe since the first humans appeared. Seriously. Ignore the nutters, their aim is bad. ;-)
