I'm also going to complain a bit. I now remember the big reason that I left forums like the Cauldron and others where reconstructionists rule. I really hate it when people who aren't a member of a specific tradition feel that they get to pass judgement on it's legitimacy. 'Wicca can only be what Gardner said it is', 'If your religion isn't verifiable, then you're just playing at spirituality', 'A real religion works with a balance of deities, not just goddesses' - and other various 'more historically valid than thou' platitudes about modern mythstory and deity and immanent panentheism.
Now that I've gotten that off my chest, on to the waffling:
I still haven't decided what I want to write my H post on. I am starting to lean towards Harm, but I'm not sure. I want to explore so many other "H" topics too.
I want to post about some personal stuff. Mostly about feeling energy again after so long and a little copse of trees that I found near my house that are awesome. I think we are going to have a good relationship, those trees and me. Again, I'm not sure I want to share that stuff with the whole of the interwebs. Who knew that actually having a blog following would be a problem??
Maybe what I'll do is write it in my journal, and then here, and we'll see how it goes from there.
I am also feeling pulled to create a devotional project. Something that will help me to pull my beliefs and symbolism together in a visible format. I've wanted to work on a tarot deck forever, but I feel that this project needs to be tactile. You've got to be able to touch it and feel the energy inside. A sculpture, maybe? A carving or something like that? I don't know what yet.
I'm growing an apple tree! My kitchen scraps garden is starting to sprout! I'm going to be doing a post on that for PP soon. There are also some apple related meditations that need to be done. Some thinking and some projects. Some clothing projects are waiting to be done as well.
There is also an athame post that I ought to get done for Wednesday. I'm just not fully sure what direction I want to take it. The topic of labels and ownership of words has been pissing me off lately. I might make it a wordless post. Maybe word-lite.
Other than that, I am excited for a trip to the West Edmonton Mall with the fam to visit some friends from the island. I miss the island so much. It will be good to see them again. Plus the baby gets to swim in a real pool for the first time ever! Squee!
