So, last night I turn in at about 10:30 ... hoping that an early night will let me get a good long sleep (since for some reason I can't sleep past 9 am lately). Just as my head hits the pillow, my mind is flooded with ideas. Ideas for articles to fill out the Pagan Perspectives section of my website.
Realizing that this is one of those times where if I ignore it (even if I could), the ideas will be gone by morning, I get up, run a bath, and start writing out my ideas. Thirteen article ideas later, I let the water out of my bath, and crawl back into bed, confident that this purging will now allow me to sleep (at quarter after eleven).
Yeah, right ... again, as soon as I lay down and get comfortable, more ideas bubble to the surface. Now, one or two I could hold onto until morning, but this wasn't stopping there ... at the fourth idea, I got up again (poor hubby), this time going to the computer to add them all to the webpage so that when I am ready to write another article, all my ideas will be there waiting for me.
Twenty-eight ideas later (bear in mind that if I manage to write all of these this year it will double the number of essays I wrote last year), I am scraping the bottom of the barrel for that one last idea that is flitting around in there like a butterfly. I FINALLY go back to bed exhausted and with a mild headache ... glance at the clock 12:20 am ... so much for an early night! My muse needs a pause button :op
