Fruit of the New Camera
Here are the first of many pics from my new camera:

The empty lot behind my building has sprung to life with beautiful wild poppies.

This is my chestnut tree. I found it as a partially sprouted chestnut on the sidewalk. It was withered, and I wasn't sure that it was going to live.
When my last two trees died, I decided that I wasn't going to try again until I had a backyard. Turns out the trees did not agree with that :P I think that this little guy will need a new pot before the end of the summer.

This is from our trip to Whiterock on the solstice (more pics of that visit to come) - I love taking pictures of pathways and roads. You'll probably see a lot more like this in the future.
Well, now I have to go and finish cleaning. I'll post more later. Most of these pics are X-posted to my new Photoblog - Oracle Lens
