I did it.  I made a blogger journal.  I like it so far.  I have even made a post (but only one, so don't go all expecting anything profound).  I haven't put the profile in or anything yet.  It's kind of cool - and it gives me the option to host my blog somewhere else in the future if I don't want blogger to host it anymore (which is a neat feature).

Anyway - to anyone interested, it is easy to find.  It is basically the exact same address you use to find this journal, except that 'blogspot' goes where 'livejournal' was.

Ahhh I think what is upsetting me most about this whole LJ thing is that it seems as if some of people on my flist are going in different directions. Now I know it is their personal preference but I guess I am just upset at having to register at a bunch of different blog sites just to read my friends blogs.

As to 6A/LJ - they are a business and got caught in dwama. Who is to say the same thing won't happen elsewhere even at the other blogspots. As businesses I actually would consider the possibility highly likely. I am not sure what I am doing but right now I have 2 friends in 2 different spots that I want to keep abreast of.

It's not like I am not going to be here anymore. And it isn't like you have to leave LJ to read me. If you have a paid account you can create a syndicated feed to just about any blog on the web, and then it shows up in your friends page (and since this software is open source, every LJ clone has it too).

I haven't decided what I am going to do in the end yet. I have yet to figure out all the ins and outs of Blogger. It might end up just another to add to the list (like Covenspace was).

er I also wanted to let you know that people seem to SPAM comment there... my old blog has comments that are SPAM... i mean really weird messages.

I have mine set to screening comments. They don't show up unless I say they can. Seems safest to start out that way in a strange new neighborhood ;)

I'm actually contemplating moving but keeping my LJ as a non-paid account. It's just one more cost to cut in my budget :) I've got till September to decide, so there's no hurry.
