It really is going to take more than a half assed apology to regain the trust of your members. Especially when you acknowledge that this type of witch hunt likely WILL happen again. It will take a lot more.
I, for one, will be purging my interests and looking for blog space elsewhere. Also, I am not going to be renewing my paid membership here unless you folks come up with something truly phenomenal to make up for this. I won't be holding my breath on that note, however.

Journals being restored
As promised below we have reviewed the journals that have been suspended and are now in the midst of unsuspended about half of them.
The class of suspensions that are being reversed are;
1. All Fandom journals
2. All fiction journals
3. All journals who that had problems in their profile only
A large number of journals that are clear violations of our policies will remain suspended.
I will write a post in more detail soon but I wanted to get this up now as promised.
We are truly sorry for the mess, we have more work yet to do.

Date: 2007-05-31 08:34 pm (UTC)I am not even a member of fandom journals. I don't care much for slash, but I don't want to see those places deleted because they 'are thinnly veiled as fiction communities for adults'.
If they are going to start trying to read minds, then this is not going to be the last we hear about this issue.
