Was *so* much fun! It was pretty slacking, all around. We watched a lot of powerpoint presentations, learned about the history of poker, then we got to learn to play texas hold 'em (for those of us who never had before), and watch game seven of the playoffs - Vancouver WON!!! Wooot!!!
I love working so close to home. That is awsome. I love not wearing a uniform. I love having a passcard (it makes me feel so grown up and important when really all it does is let me back into the building when the mall has closed).
Everyone was really nice, and while there is a lot to remember, I figure most of it will stick through being exposed to it all the time rather than actively having to study. I am not afraid of tests anymore. In highschool exams would stress me out and I would have a tense feeling in the pit of my stomach for days before (afterward I would be just fine). Now, I know that they hired me becuase they need someone with my skills, so they aren't going to go sabotaging my chances of doing this job.
We get so many awsome perks that I have never had at a job before (it's nothing fancy, but free pop, juice and filtered water is still way more than any other job has ever given me - heck, the store wouldn't even give us free coffee!). We even have a fancy electronic coffee machine. It makes just about any hot drink you can think of!
I wasn't even tired when I got off (at 12:30 this morning) despite the fact that I had been up since seven that morning. I love the idea of not feeling utterly exhausted when I come home from work! Yay!
So, yeah, that was my first day at my awsome new job. *happygreatjobdancing*
