Two weeks or so to go, and I kind of want to participate this time. For real. New story, 50 000 words, one month. I also want to get into writing short stories again. I have lots of ideas for stories, but I don't know how many of them could open into a novel. My last short story had issues due to having to fit into so small a word count. I meant to expand on it, but I haven't yet because I am not sure where or how it would fit into a larger story. Or even when.
I might see if I can open up my brain and find out what flows out in reguards to that one. I have never set a story in Victorian times. I would love to try that. But I also am thinking of something that might tie to modern memories of such a time (ancestor memories).
I don't know. I would like to know if I can write 50 000 words in 30 days. That would be a serious accomplishment for me. And I think it would help with my confidence and focus. Now that I we are done paying for the car I will (after the holidays) to go back to school. My plan is to go to BCIT and take the Interior Design course, but I am wondering if I could also take a Creative Writing and English courses at a different college (or maybe take the first year Int Design course at a college that offers English and Creative Writing as well). I guess it will depend on the money situation (I have another raise coming up soon, so that should help).
I am excited. And nervous. And worried. So many things that need to be done! Eep!
