I have been trying to get En.Lib.Pro to download for a while now without success (though, admittedly, I haven't been trying all that hard ... I may just pick bad times), but today while surfing
unnaturalpagans, I came across this online library program.

I have only just started adding my library to it ... and I have yet to find a place to put my 'to acquire' book list ~_^ But so far, so good ^_^

Date: 2006-05-08 05:36 am (UTC)I started off with Library Thing but, for my needs and uses, it just wasn't doing what I needed. I needed to keep track of where my books were, where Igot them from, seperate books I wanted frombooks I'd bought and books I'd borrowed, keep cross references to my notes for each book and a brief review as well as access other people's reviews(all while customizing things so I can remember how the hell I have everything organized.) Library Thing is awesome because it tells you what other people share portions of your library but... it just wasn't doing it for me.
Speaking of pimping for online book type sites I've found two sites that are pretty darn neat. One is a program like NetFlicks only for books the other is a book swap site - where you upload books that you are will to send to other people and then you can take books fromi other people(so you trade a book you get a book) I've had pretty good luck with it.
Anyway I'm chattery tonight - let me know if you'd like me to email you a copy of ELibPro or the links to either of the other online programs.

Date: 2006-05-08 12:47 pm (UTC)As for the "to acquire" books, I don't see a separate place to list them, so what I do is just tag them "wishlist." Similary, stuff I've read through the library that I want to keep track of but don't own, I tag "library."
So, what's your username over there? Mine's the same as here.
