Today I am grateful for my fiance (agian). Yesterday we went to the finale of the Symphony of Fire fireworks show over English Bay.
We spent the whole day walking around Vancouver ... through Chinatown and their heritage festival (I bought an abalone shell necklace), down to Stanley park and then around the sea wall to English Bay to watch the show. It was a great day, and for a few hours took my mind off of all the things I usually worry about (and need to get done).
It was lots and lots of fun ... even on our way home (after 1am), he got us off the skytrain to wait for a different one when a group of drunken, loud, obnoxious hicks decided that they just NEEDED to smoke (both cigarettes and pot) on a non-smoking train ... well, they are all non-smoking trains, but aparently people lose the ability to read and give a damn about everyone else on in a really crowded skytrain car when drunk (poor asthmatic me just had to suffer).
A day of no worries, and simple togetherness made me feel very grateful today ^_^
