Well, it took me a while to decide on which element to start with, but I have decided, and started getting my mind into the right place yesterday ... which also happened to be the new moon. Yeah ... I, uh, meant to start on the new moon ... I am just that witchy! LOL
Yesterday I wore my seashell necklaces (I have two that compliment each other nicely), and the fiance and I went out to Horseshoe Bay for coffee (partly because we wanted to see the damage the ferry caused when it ran over all the boats in the marina!). The sea air was exhilarating! I would have gone down and waded in the water, but I didn't want to be in the way of the tugs, barges and forklifts that were busy rebuilding the docks.
I will prolly go out again tomorrow or Sunday ... Horseshoe Bay is one of my favorite places. I grew up in a deep valley, and being surrounded by such close mountains is very comforting for me ... as is being right on the ocean the way it is.
Anyway ... I have also decided that this elemental study will consist of a four month long "Love Me Better" spell. I have a lot of self-esteem and self-image issues that I am really not dealing with. This provides me the perfect opportunity. For the waxing half of this month, I intend to make liberal use of purification baths that focus on the aspects of myself that I want to grown and cultivate, and for the waning half I will focus on washing away the negative thoughts and images of myself that seem to follow me where ever I go.
More over, I am going to start wearing a little make-up ... paint my finger nails blue ... and dye my hair blond (time for a change ~_^). I am going to make sure that I drink 3 litres of water everyday, start meditating regularly again (I have tapered off on that again), and I am going to get back to my daily tarot draw. I am also going to do some research on tales of undines, sea monsters, and ghost ships.
I think I am off to a good start ~_^
