The Gratitude Project - Getting Caught Up

So, by my estimate, I am about five days behind again. So, here we go ...

First -

I am grateful for the rain. It reminds me of home ... I love it when it rains and pours and even when the roads flood. This time of the year when we start to turn fully into fall, the world feels so magical.

Second -

I am grateful for secular Halloween decorations. It suddenly seems ok to be REALLY excited that my favourite holiday is right around the corner! It also means that I get to go out and buy a new pointy witch hat! LOL

Third -

I am grateful that I will only be at my job for a few more months. I have found myself caring less and less how well I do my job ... not that being the BEST cashier is a goal of mine, but when I don't care at all about my job, I tend to start growing a dangerous depressing hatred of the workplace that REALLY isn't good for my psyche.

Fourth -

I am grateful that WintersDark has managed to find a way to get his motorcycle after all. I loved so much that he gave up the money he saved so that I could go back to school, but I did also feel guilty that he had to choose between me and something so simple that gives him so much joy.

Fifth -

I am grateful for a very patient kitty. Binx has managed to get a handful of mats on his back, and he actually lets me sit and comb them out. I knew it couldn't feel good, but he didn't cry or bite me or anything. He is a very special critter.
