I am grateful for anti-virus and spybot detecting software. Shortly after joining a new egroup, my computer was assaulted by several Trojan viruses and spyware programs. I don't like to think what would have happened to my computer without my little protection grid up. Even as it was, it took over an hour to remove all of the stuff that hadn't been blocked. Ugh ... I am not sure if I should remove myself from the egroup or not ... I was kind a looking forward to chatting with some locals. Perhaps this is a wait and see kind of situation ...
