Silly Potter Stuff. I firmly believe the popularity of HP to be entirely due to Rawling having the best damn book publishing and marketing people ever. They're not bad stories, to be sure, but if someone is so totally enthralled by them it's indicative (in my opinion anyways) of a thoroughly starved appetite for literary works. Get out, read more books! Rawling is a middling author at best. She's not bad, but certainly not particularly good. There's soooooo much great literature out there!
