I am going to spend the next few days saving my old LJ entries to my computer HD in case something stupid happens. I will probably purge my interests as well.

And after that, I am going to start looking for a new blog. I have heard that Blogger is pretty popular. I have also heard some good things about Wordpress and I think Elf mentioned GreatestJournal, which I will prolly also check out. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Everything just went all to hell all at once, didn't it? I have the Beehive software downloaded and I will be testing it out this weekend. I would have done it last weekend, but I got this damned head cold instead. At least this way we can get Wickets up and running soon. Not a moment too soon, if you ask me.

LJ have come out and said it is a mistake here (http://news.livejournal.com/99159.html).

I don't know if I believe them, or if they are just back pedaling, but either way I hope the phae will stay....See I am even willing to write poetry to keep you here ;).

Here, use this (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ljarchive/) to archive your posts.

I will probably not leave until I see what LJ/6A does to correct this mess. I'll be damned if I want to start all over someplace else.

Dammit.

I'm a Xanga-girl (http://www.xanga.com/zahirah), myself. They're putting in some great new features and I'm very happy with it. I only went with LiveJournal for the communities and to spy on read stuff written by people much smarter than myself. Xanga isn't all that great with the community aspect, but I love it as a weblog - and now a photoblog and an audioblog (a feature I am not currently using).

Of course, having won a lifetime free premium Xanga membership may be affecting my opinion...

Although, several months ago (maybe a year?), Xanga had a massive membership purge where they suspended accounts who didn't have their birthyear in correctly, due to a lawsuit in a hunt to prevent children under the age of 13 of having an account. Lots of children's accounts were suspended, but so were the accounts of people who simply didn't enter their birthyear. They did what they had to do, then worked overtime to reopen suspended accounts of people older than 13.
