"That means she was faking it!"

"No, it means she was crazy!"

"Actually, it's a little of both."

From the Wild Hunt this morning:

"Clark bought Body, Mind and Spirit from then-owner Annette Cunningham in July 2005, shortly before Cunningham died of cancer...Soon, classes on the power of crystals were being held in the shop. A psychic came in several times a week to offer readings to customers. A Wicca circle, composed of witches who practice the nature-based Pagan religion, began meeting there.

And Clark got sadder and sicker...Since opening the store, Clark went completely deaf, with little explanation"

Why do they always go deaf? Or blind? Is it because it is something that doesn't leave marks so that they can later claim that 'Teh Powa of Chirst' cured them?

I am tempted to watch the papers local to this shop. I would be willing to bet that in a couple of months, when the transition from New Age shop to Christian bookstore is complete, and she has fired all of her Pagan employees, she goes on a tear about how evil it all is and how the devil was out to get her before she renounced the darkness of all that is Pagan. Roll Eyes 4

Someday I would like to see a story where the Christian owner just decided that they didn't really want to sell crystals and candles and stuff. Maybe incense gives them a headache, and they just wanted something more in line with what they like rather than 'it woz a sign from Gawd'. Hitting Head Against Wall 2
