The Empty Closet

I think that everyone who has a weight problem (every woman, anyway) has a set of 'skinny cloths' that they keep. I know I did. I kept them so that I would have something to wear when I got back down to that size. Now that I have (mostly, still one more pants size to my ideal), I have gone through my closet. I now have a huge bag of clothes to go to the Sally An and not a whole lot to wear. I had kept my skinny clothes for so long that they we WAY out of style and most weren't the style of clothing that I find comfortable now.

I have my last pair of skinny pants waiting for me to fit into them. I highly doubt that I will wear them again after they do. I just keep them as a sort of measure, now.

For a long time (a very long time), my skinny clothes were really just a sense of denial. I didn't want to admit that I was overweight and it would take some serious doings to get myself back into those clothes. I have to wonder if women who wear clothes that are very much too small for them are also having serious denial issues. Today at work I saw a woman who was keeping her shirt together at the chest with a paperclip.

I think that (assuming I ever have extra money again) the best part of finally losing weight is buying new clothes. I think I will ask Santa for a shopping spree this Christmas ;)

Salt

In thinking of the circle mixture, I found myself wondering about salt. Sea salt and earth salt have different properties, don't they? Do they cross over in certain respects, or would it be more like Kitchen Sage and White Sage where the only real similarity is the name? Or is it a question of personal correspondences?
