A quick note that I will expand on when I get back from work. In reading Living Druidry, I have come across the concept of 'nature gods' as opposed to 'ancestral gods'. I found this idea very compelling. The unnamed forces of nature and of human nature are revered as deities and given the same respect that our 'ancestral gods' are given. I think that this is a great way of explaining the raw, wild, and random power of nature that doesn't fit with any concept of a 'thwacking' deity that actually gives a crap about you. The gods of Gaia aren't personal, they just are.
