Ok, so, it looks to me like I have about a week's worth of catching up to do ... didn't I tell you that FF games suck me in? LOL Ok, so here is what I am grateful for for the last little while:
First -
I am grateful for storms. I love storms ... the thunder, the lightening, the rain ... nothing cheers me up faster when I am in a pissy mood than to have all of nature erupt in a sudden storm (sort of a misery loves company, sort of thing, I guess).
Second -
I am grateful that it has FINALLY cooled down ... I was putting off yoga and being outside, and all the things I love to do because it was just too bloody hot outside to do them ... yay for fall!
Third -
I am grateful for Karma. After two years of putting up with favouritism and fundamentalism, my patience is finally paying off. Two of the people at work that I can't stand are taking a buyout ... within a couple of weeks they will be gone, and all will be right in the world (now, if I could only get the customers to shop at Safeway instead ...)
Fourth -
I am grateful to have such a wonderful man as WintersDark in my life ... again. Now, he is giving up his chance to buy a motorcycle (for the time being anyway) to get the car fixed so that we can get rid of it, and I can go back to school. He said that it is so important to me that he is willing to wait to get his bike ... isn't that sweet?
Fifth -
Holy crap there are a lot of things to be grateful for! LOL My brother getting his own computer, is what I am grateful for fifthly. Though, it will mean that I don't see him as much (as his most common excuse for coming to visit is to use the computer), it will also mean that when something weird happens to MY computer (a virus, spyware, a crash, whatever), we will finally be able to narrow down the cause and fix it rather than having to reformat the HD every time.
Sixth -
I am grateful for responsible friends. Though I don't have that many, the ones I do have are willing to help us get a house by renting the basement suite. I will finally have a backyard again! Yay!
Seventh -
I think this is the last one for today - I am grateful for memories. The memories of having a place to call home, and having no worries is all that keeps me going on the search for a new home. If I hadn't grown up in the environment I did, I think I would be a forever wandering nomad (which is appealing sometimes, but there are sometimes when you just want to be at home).
