Today, I am grateful for rain. Yesterday and early this morning it rained for the first time in over a month. The smell of a good hard cleansing rain is intoxicating for me. It would seem that Mother Nature has decided that BC has been on fire for long enough. The warmth of summer remains, but the smell of fall is also here ... this is my favourite time of year.

Why can't people go to movies just to enjoy them? Why does everyone have to be a critic? I think it is rather sad that so many movies that have come out have to be railed against by people just because they can. Spiderman 2 sucked because it was too sappy ... King Arthur sucked because it didn't keep to the legend ... the Village sucked because everyone was expecting a plot twist at the end. WHY THE HELL DO YOU PEOPLE GO TO MOVIES IF YOU REFUSE TO ENJOY THEM???

Seriously, are you ever surprised by what you see? The trailer gives you enough info to know these things before you go. Of course Spiderman 2 was sappy ... you could tell that from the trailers ... of course King Arthur didn't keep to the legend ... They said as much when they were advertising it (did you really expect "This is the real story" to be just another Camelot clone??). Of course the Village has a plot twist at the end ... it wouldn't have been a thriller otherwise, it would have been just another cheesy horror flick ... and everyone knows that is not M. Night Shamalan's style.

If you are only going to complain about the problems with movies and totally suck all the fun out of the film ... save your eight bucks and complain about tv instead.
