So, I think I've narrowed my Rrrrticle down to two choices.  Either an exploration of my "Realm" (aka Land of the Phae) or a stream of consciousness exercise entitled "Randomness".

I've been thinking a lot about fantasy art, video games, paganism, created worlds and where I fit - as an artist. As a person.  It's all navel gazing really, but in starting work on my own Fantasy/Pagan art projects, I get to wondering about where my characters will live.  Starting to worry out the places, races and mythologies.

I'm a fan of Tolkien and his Middle Earth as it is based on real world mythologies.  I love Charles De Lint and his views on the faery realms in the modern world.  And those places are close, but not quite "there".  If that makes any sense.

So far I have in mind the Tuatha, the Aesir, the Vanier, Dwarves, Earth giants (Fomorians), Frost giants, and Humans (I may come up with a name for them in time).  I also have a tavern named Wickets, and a small outpost town at the edge of a protected forest.

I have been hinting heavily that Santa should bring me an airbrush kit for Xmas.  Once I can use an airbrush, I
plan to start doing landscapes.  Both places for my characters to live and pieces that people would want to put up on their walls.

If you're wondering about the title of this post, I've finally taken on the task of giving Phae Talon form.  I've tried a handful of times over the years to get her down on paper, but I
always ended up with someone else on the paper.  The only one that I would call even remotely successful was a sketch I did back when she was Phae Talla, and she's changed so much since then.

So far, she has a face and neck.  I'm going to finish off hair and shoulders/clothes today.  Hopefully, this time she'll cooperate.  If she does, a full body pose is up next.
