A Vancouver lawyer has won a procedural victory in her attempt to prosecute U.S. President George W. Bush under the Criminal Code.
Gail Davidson, cofounder of an international group of jurists called Lawyers Against the War, expressed her delight on October 18 following the lifting of a publication ban on court proceedings against the U.S. president.

Good. If it results in nothing else than keeping Bush from coming here, then it will not have been a waste of time. I am glad that there are people out there willing to take a stand. Bush has been getting away with far too much for far too long.
While I don't believe that Bush will *ever* be brought to trial for war crimes, I would like to see more countries lay charges against him. I think that limiting the places in the world where he is welcome is a good thing (though, I doubt the hint will make it through that thick skull of his).
